Charles Oscar Evers, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
Beloved husband of the late Angela Maria Pioli Evers and the mother of his children the late Maxine Evers. Father of Charles “Eddie” Evers (Beverly) of Luling and Donna E. Eymard (Mitch) of Larose. Step-father of Glen Vinson (Joy) and Mark Vinson of Covington. Grandfather of Chad Eymard, Carly Eymard, Sarah Evers, Seth Evers, Eric Evers and Damien Vinson. Brother of Harold Evers, Ruth Kyle, Clifford Evers, Carlos Evers, Patsy Greene and the late Ray Evers, Eunice Talley, Mattie Clair Kyle McMullin, Herbert Evers, Nettie Jewel Watson, Mary Evers, Margaret George and Ella Faye McIlveene. Also survived by his special friend, Yvonne Domingue Petitfils.
A native of Emerson, Ark. and a resident of Covington, for the past 18 years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington on Saturday, Feb. 9. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. A reception followed at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Covington.
