Father of Ronald Verdin, Ellis Verdin, Jr. (late Mary), Gerald Verdin, Jane Barrios, Wayne Verdin, Linda Wait (Gary), David Verdin (Lupe), Daniel Verdin (Angela), Glenn Verdin (Shellie), and the late Randy Verdin (Cindy). Grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 17. Son of the late Ernest Verdin and Theresa Verdun Verdin. Brother of Rufus “Bobby” Gaubert (Bobbi), Elsie G. Theriot (late Ernest), Lois G. Landreneaux (late Clarence), and the late Rudy Gaubert. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Age 100 years, a native of Barataria, LA and resident of Luling, LA. Ellis was a World War II Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He spent his career in the oilfield until retirement. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 AM. Interment St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Luling, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until 11 AM.
