Joan Elizabeth DuRocher, 79, passed away on Sept. 30, 2011 at the Vermilion Health Care Center in Abbeville.
She was a native of New Orleans who lived in Norco since 1938 and was a retired supervisor with Shell Oil Company.She is survived by her brother, Drew DuRocher of Naples, Fla. and his children: Dan DuRocher and Jeffrey DuRocher; her niece, Mae Dufour Mayeux of Abbeville, and her child, Tiffany Olivier; and her nephew, Denny Dufour (wife Debbie) of Prairieville and their children: Casey Dufour, Chrissie Dufour Belle and Cody Dufour; as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Andrew DuRocher Sr. and Loretta Elizabeth Duclos, brother, Alton Andrew DuRocher, and sister, Marilyn Claire DuRocher Dufour. Services were held at H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco with burial following at the Garden of Memories in Metairie.
