Theresa Caillouet Dufrene

God has a new Angel in heaven, Theresa Caillouet Dufrene has gained her wings and is now with her heavenly Father and loved ones that have gone on before her throughout all eternity.

Dufrene was a native of Mathews and resident of Des Allemands for 68 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years and father of their four children, Shelby Dufrene; daughters, Beverly Morgan (Ryck), Romona Adams (Lionel), Carlette Dufrene (Ricky); four grandchildren, Dawn Robert, Jason Adams, Roddy Adams, Lynel Adams; seven great grandchildren, a step granddaughter; three step great grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren; brothers, Wilbert Caillouet (Joan), Wilmer “Jap” Caillouet, Ronald Caillouet (Peggy); sisters, Thelma Quatrevingt (Junius), Pamela Danos (Gilbert) and a very special and loving caregiver, Rosalind Dufrene Lewis.

Dufrene was preceded in death by her son, Steve J. Dufrene; parents, Sidney Sr. and Eve Caillouet; brothers, Sidney Caillouet, Jr. (Jay), Malcolm Caillouet; mother and father-in-law, Hector Sr. and Eunice Dufrene and granddaughter, Melissa Dufrene.

Pallbearers include, Jason Adams, Roddy Adams, Peyton Robert, Bailey Adams, Logan Robert, Eli Adams, Cody Morgan and Tony Austin Bourg.

Theresa was a God-loving, devoted Christian and member of the Des Allemands Baptist Church. She enjoyed family time more than anything, also enjoyed cooking, sewing and going to church.

Visitation was held March 1 at Life Fellowship Community Church, Bayou Gauche. Religious services followed with burial in Sunset Cemetery.
