Donald Wayne Glover, born June 2, 1935 in Gladewater, Texas, passed peacefully at home on May 29, 2019 after battling cancer. Glover was a resident of Destrehan and a retired foreman at Cytec (now Cornerstone).
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Beryl Glover, and his children Tommy Glover (Tammy), Donna Gros, Terry Glover, and Diane Stuard, sister Carol Jones and brother Gerald Glover (Lorie). He is also survived by his grandchildren Melissa Jones, Joshua Gros, Lyndsay Webb, Rusty Verret (Patrick Martin), Brooke Glover (Kevin Ybarzabal), Christopher Glover, Jennifer Glover, Jessica Falgout (Douglas Drago), Reed Glover, and Ashley Donovan (Gavin), and his great grandchildren Madelyn, Devon, Rowen, Avery, Bennett, Hayden, Gannon, Kylie, and Brody. Donald is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Glover and Bessie Glynn Glover of Varnado, La., and son-in-law Jimmy Stuard of Norco.
Donald was raised in Norco and attended Destrehan High School before joining the Navy and serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with family and being outside during Louisiana summers.
