Destinee Nicholas Jones entered peacefully into heaven on May 15, 2015, at the age of 24, along with her husband, Austin Ty Jones.
Mother and father of Wyatt Holden Jones.
She is survived by her parents, Janice Kelly Nicholas and Davis Joseph Nicholas Jr., and her step-mother Deann Frank Nicholas.
Granddaughter of Thelmas B. Nicholas. Granddaughter of Thelma B. Nicholas and the late Davis J. Nicholas Sr. and Mary Helen Kelly and Dewey Kelly.
She is also survived by her brothers, Davis Nicholas III (Ashlyn Lamonte), Dane Jordan Nicholas, Drew Jensen Nicholas (Jada Gonzales), Lee Joseph Tregre (Rebecka), Donna Tregre Breaux (Dwane) and closest friend and aunt, Donna Nicholas, and aunt Judy Burns.
She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
“Dess” was employed by Deep South Communications Co. for the past year and has worked in communications for the past years. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, softball, just anything with outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral service was held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Hoe in Marrero on May 20. Interment followed in Our Lady of Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hahnville/Taft.
