Dennis Joseph Clouate Jr. passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 84. He was born on Friday, July 30, 1937 in Edgard, Louisiana to the late Aline Guillot Clouate and the late Dennis J. Clouate Sr. He was a resident of Hahnville, Louisiana.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Leslie Clouate Dempster (Ted), grandchildren, Blake J. Dempster (Raelyn), Breanna Dempster Grimes (Charles) and Leighton Dempster, great-grandchildren, Abigayle Ryan, Gabriel Garcia, Nathan and Noah Dempster, Taya Grimes, as well as his sisters, Diane Clouate Alberado (Cliff) Aline Clouate Champagne (Leon) and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Chambers Clouate; father, Dennis J. Clouate, Sr.; mother, Aline Guillot Clouate; daughter, Jodi Clouate; son, Mark Clouate; sister, LauraMae Clouate Oubre and his brothers, Mark Clouate and Floyd Clouate.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 620 3rd St., Independence, Louisiana 70443, on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, 9:00 am – 10:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA 70401.
Interment will follow in Cooper Cemetery of the Sacred Heart, Loranger, Louisiana.
