Joseph Anthony “Tony” Morazan
1944 – 2021
Joseph Anthony “Tony” Morazan passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Linda A. Morazan. Son of the late Daniel and Ina Mahaffey. Father of Maria Francisca and the late Michelle Allyssa and grandfather of their children. Brother of Charles John and the late Danny Boy and Martha Francis. Brother-in-law of Ward Fontenot and Carolyn Morazan. Nephew of Pat Mahaffey and Marie Mahaffey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tony was born and raised in New Orleans, and moved to Luling, in 1990. He worked for over 30 years as IT Manager at McDaniel Controls Inc. owned by his dear friend Nelwyn H. Lorio. Before that Tony was in the computer consulting business with the help of his friend and mentor, Dan Ellis. He was an 18-year member of the Monsanto Community Advisory Panel (now Bayer). Tony joined the U.S. Army in 1965, served in Viet Nam 1967-1968, and got out in 1969 with the Rank of Specialist E-5 and is a life member of Post 3750.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Friday, January 21, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.
