Buddy J. Graver

Buddy J. Graver, 84, a native and resident of Luling passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2021.

Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Friday, December 31st from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., with burial to follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rita Danos Graver; sons, Chris Graver (Vanessa), Randy Graver and Todd Graver (Merialee); son-in-law, Mike Balliviero; grandchildren, Quentin Balliviero, Casey Graver, Steven Graver, Abbey Poyadou, Courtney Bordelon, Cody Graver, Macy Graver, Maris Graver and Seth-Patrick Graver; 12 great-grandchildren.

Buddy was preceded in death by his city parents, Freddie and Mathilda Graver, country parents, Percy, Sr. and Verlie Estay; daughter, Tammy Graver Balliviero; grandchildren, Shanon Graver and Jared Graver; brothers, Alvin Estay, James Estay, Calvin Estay, Percy Estay, Jr. and Dudley Estay; sisters, Mary Louise Lancaster, Ella Pellerin and Gertrude Estay.

He retired from Monsanto Chemical Company working as a chemical operator. Upon retirement he lived his dream working for St. Charles Recreation Department. He was a member of the R.S.V.P. organization, Lifetime member of Luling Knights of Columbus Council #2409, an avid fisherman and he played softball, basketball, and bowling in many leagues including Monsanto and Holy Family. His proudest accomplishment was playing softball to the age of 65.
