Edgar “Wizard” Paul Crochet, Sr. passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in Raceland, LA at the age of 62. He was a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Raceland.
He was the beloved husband of Dina B. Crochet. He was also the father of Edgar P. Crochet, Jr., Billy Crochet, Rachel Villavaso and her husband Doug, Angel C. Bergeron and her husband Gary, and Kristy LeCompte. He was the son of the late Roy and Julie Z. Crochet, as well as a brother to Melvin, Roy, Richard, and Pete Crochet, Paula Benoit, and the late Rose Lee; half-brother to David, Francis, and Goldie Mullins, and the late Annette Mullins.
Edgar is also survived by his eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral. There were religious services at Raceland Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at noon.
Interment was at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland, and visitation was from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral time Tuesday at the church.
Falgout Funeral Homes were in charge of the arrangements.
