John “Johnny” P. Costales Sr., 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at East Jefferson General Hospital.
Beloved father of John P. Costales Jr. and Chad Joseph Costales; proud grandfather of Landon M. Costales.
Loving son of John V. Costales and Magaly Moran; stepson of Grace A. Costales.
Brother of Liz Dufrene, Mireya Aviles, Jenny Vallot, Joyce Peterson, Julie Costales, Tommy Costales and the late Patsy C. Landry.
Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.
Johnny was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Charles Parish. He was a retired pipefitter by trade but after family and friends, his passion was coaching baseball to youngsters.
A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, Jan. 8 at West St. Charles Baptist Church in Boutte.
Arrangements were handled by Neptune Society of New Orleans.
