Hubert Paul Champagne, 92, passed away on Nov. 27, 2010 in Raceland. He was a native and resident of Lockport.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Della C. Champagne, son, Michael A. Champagne and wife Dianne, daughters: Sandra C. Robichaux and husband John, Suzanne C. Gaubert and husband Kevin, and Patricia A. Champagne; brothers, Patrick and Richard Champagne, sisters: Vivian Dolan, Marie Bergeron, Sister Marguerite Champagne and Helen Gautreaux; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Champagne and Emelienne Richard Champagne, brothers: Robert, Rev. Rene’, and John Champagne; and sisters, Lucille LeBlanc and Rita Creswell.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 83, A veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with entombment following in the church mausoleum.
