Ruth Zeringue Brignac died on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at River Parishes Hospital located in LaPlace at the age of 80. She was a native of Wallace, LA and resident of Destrehan.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Patrick E. Brignac, Sr., two sons and their spouses, Patrick E. Brignac, Jr. and Gayle Brignac, and Steven J. Brignac and Stephanie Brignac, as well as her daughter and spouse, Patricia Tassin and Randall A. Tassin, Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene J. Zeringue, Jr., and her seven grandchildren, Sandi Brignac, Keith Brignac, Brianne Brignac, Casey Volion, Kelly Roussel, Heidi Brignac, and Jenna Brignac, as well as her three great grandchildren, Abigail Veillon, Addison Brignac, and Rylie Rae Roussel.
She is preceded by her parents, Eugene Joseph Zeringue, Sr. and Mabel Dufresne Zeringue.
Visitation began on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Destrehan, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment followed in the church mausoleum.
