Nora Mae Christen Bourgeois passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at 2:15 a.m. in Jefferson.
Beloved wife of the late Norbert Bourgeois. Mother of Ellis Sr. (Carol), Kirk (Chris), Doyle (Thelma), Norbert (Cheryl), Rowdy (Rose) Bourgeois, Sybil B. (Art) Kaiser, Patricia B. (Grady) Kelone-Franchebois and the late Sharlene B. Davis. Daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Touchard Christen, Clara Martin, Catherine Adams and Shirley Knuppel. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to her caregiver Caprice White and the staff at Ormond Nursing Home. A native of Des Allemands and a resident of Bayou Gauche. Age 85 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. Interment at Sunset Cemetery, Bayou Gauche.
Visitation was held on Sept. 30 at Falgout Funeral Homes in Raceland and will be held on Oct. 1 at St. John Catholic Church.
