Ruth Nunnally Booth

Ruth Nunnally Booth died March 25 at the age of 98.

Booth was born Jan. 7, 1918. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, George Robert Booth, daughter Candace Nunnally Booth Binder, son-in-law Fenwick Binder, grandson Robert Binder and his wife, Heather. She was eagerly anticipating the birth of her first great granddaughter, Viviane Claire. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Booth, her parents, William Arch Nunnally, and Minnie Texas Poole Nunnally, and nine siblings, Willie Nunnally, Doss Nunnally, Clarence Nunnally, John Nunnally, May Taunton, Lilly Joyce Ora Honeycutt and Maude McKinney. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Roger Honeycutt, Patricia and Gary Hodges, Gary and Jane Bolding, and Nancy and Arthur Fitzgerald.

Booth was originally from Strong, Ark., and received a teaching degree from what is now Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.

After moving to Louisiana, she taught in the St. Charles Parish School System for 35 years. Her hobbies were sewing, needlework and reading. She instilled the love of reading in her children, Robert and Candace. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Luling since its inception more than 60 years ago.

A private Funeral Service was held at First Baptist Church of Luling on March 29.
