Beverly D. Orgeron

On January 4, 2021, Beverly D. Orgeron, of Luling, Louisiana passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. A native of Lafitte, Louisiana, Mrs. Orgeron was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and was a wonderful singer and cook. A former secretary at G.W. Carver Elementary School, she also loved to sew, knit, and crochet.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; children Brian, Kevin (Evi), Jason (Kristie), and Jeremy (Jonathan Richards). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Valentine, Hannah, Sarah, Braeden, Addison, Adriel, and Mekaila; and brothers Ronald (Cindy) and Berkman (Missenah) Dufrene. She is preceded in death by her parents Georges and Antoinette S. Dufrene; children Christina, Paul, David, Michelle, and Heidi; and siblings Rita, Calvin, Norman, Thomas, Alver, Roy, Jim, Michael, and Dennis. “Aunt Bev” was adored by a host of nieces, nephews, and many family friends.

The family is most grateful for those who provided care at the end of her journey, including Heart of Hospice (Dr. Richards, Jessica, Bree, Kawanda, and Hilary) and Susan Richards. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Friday, January 8, 2021 at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard in Marrero. Visitation will be from 11:30 am until the funeral begins at 1:30 pm. Face coverings are required. Internment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 1279 Paul Maillard Road in Luling. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Joseph Indian School, or St. Labre Indian School.
