Betty Laque Tregre, age 82, of Luling, LA, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty is survived by her former spouse, Radford Tregre, her children, Roxanne Champagne (Niles), and Jettra Heine (Charles), grandchildren, Jessica Waterman, Traci Champagne, Dustin Champagne (Dagny), Jade Brady (Bryan) Dara Brady, three great-grandchildren, Drey, Kamryn and Gabe, and one great-great-granddaughter, Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Laque and Mildred Champagne Laque.
Betty was a member of the Nifty Fifties, Busy Bee’s and the Red Hatter’s Clubs. She worked at the St. Charles Parish Library and volunteered at St. Charles Parish Hospital and retired from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. She enjoyed traveling, music, dancing and socializing with her very dear friends who she considered extended family.
Betty will be remembered for her sharp wit, fun-loving nature and devotion to those she loved. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, especially Alisha and Daphne for their care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation and funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua, 234 Angus Dr. Luling, LA on Wednesday, April 21st. Visitation will be held from 9 am until 11 am with Mass beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
