Charles Joseph “C.J.” Alleman passed away on Friday, April 15 at the age of 71.
Alleman was the beloved husband of Emelia Benoit Alleman; father of Juanita Alleman DeWint (Dean), Conrad James Alleman (Jeanne), Nina Alleman Ockman (Brant), and Gwendolyn Alleman Henderson (Miles). Grandfather of Dustin Ockman, Dillon Ockman, Kelsey DeWint, Trent DeWint, Conrad Alleman II, Brittany Buras, and Ty Henderson, as well as the late Brandon Ockman and Drake Henderson; great grandfather of Noah Arevelo and Luis Borge III. Son of the late Rita and Wilson Alleman Sr.; son-in-law of the late Nina and Maeneil Benoit; brother of Shirley Westerman, Wilson Alleman Jr., Harold Alleman, Carol Delaune, Dora David, Farrell Alleman, and Christopher Alleman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and he loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. The family would like to express their special thanks to all those who helped care for him along the way.
A funeral mass was celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on April 19. Visitation was held at the church at with burial in St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Des Allemands.
