Valero St. Charles Refinery gifts $1 million to local children’s charities

Six St. Charles Parish charities were recently each given $100,000 from Valero’s St. Charles Refinery.

Valero’s St. Charles Refinery recently distributed $1,000,000 among 10 South Louisiana charities, with six of those directly impacting children in St. Charles Parish.

The money comes from funds raised through the 2021 Valero Texas Open and Valero Benefit for Children, with the tournament currently ranked #1 in charitable giving thus far this year on the PGA TOUR.

“Valero is honored to be part of the tournament’s legacy of giving back through the generous support of our business partners and sponsors,” Valero Chairman and CEO Joe Gorder said. “With our long-standing relationship through the BFC, the tournament has helped raise more than $187 million for charities, positively impacting many lives in the communities where we oValero St. Charles Refinery gifts $1 million to local children’s charitiesommunity and in many cases had to increase the number of children they serve.”
