Jewell says parish will be without power for 4-6 weeks

With over 2,820 broken poles and 2,008 damaged or broken cross arms, Entergy officials have relayed to St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell that early estimates are that 90% of residents in St. Charles Parish can expect to have power restored within 4-6 weeks.

The damage in the parish also includes 376 tree spans, 2,142 spans of wire down and 617 damaged transformers.

Jewell said he would continue to push for additional information from Entergy and provide updates as soon as it becomes available.
