Arrests

  • Rachel Makofsky, 17, of 155 Cottage Drive in Luling, was arrested Jan. 9 and charged with second degree battery and simple criminal damage to property.
  • Glenn Scott, 37, of 139 Hahn St. in Hahnville, was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with domestic abuse strangulation. He had an attachment and was a fugitive from another agency.
  • Kenneth Boyd, 30, of 143 Mott Lane in Des Allemands, was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with armed robbery/use of firearm.
  • Nelson Robinson, 21, of 16545 Old Spanish Trail in Des Allemands, was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with armed robbery/use of firearm.
  • Dustin Robert, 25, of 324 Blossom Court in Westwego, was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with aggravated assault/domestic abuse and cyber stalking.
  • Blake Ward, 26, of 6300 Riverside Drive in Metairie, was arrested Jan. 9 and charged with unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.
  • Antonio Troyo, 52, of 168 Carolyn Drive in Destrehan, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with failure to register and notify.
  • Grant Williams, 46, of 417 Marvin Garden St. in LaPlace, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with aggravated battery, driver not licensed and failure to maintain proper control of vehicle.

Incidents

  • Two soft drinks and four cases of beer were stolen from a storage shed located on River Road in Luling on Jan. 7.
  • A vehicle was taken from the contractor’s parking lot oat an IMTT chemical plant on River Road in St. Rose on Jan. 9.
  • A prescription medication was taken from a vehicle parked on 379 King St. on Jan. 9.
  • Unauthorized expenditures were made from banking account of a victim on Jan. 6.
  • Four firearms were stolen from a shed located on Lafaille St. in Paradis on Jan. 6.
  • A carburetor was removed from a mud boat at a hunting club located in St. Rose on Jan. 10.
  • $1,100 was missing from a video poker machine located at Dot’s Diner on Hwy. 90 in Luling on Jan. 11.
  • A license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked on Touchard Lane in Des Allemands on Jan. 11.
  • $20 was stolen and a vehicle parked on Bradwall St. in Luling was burglarized on Jan. 11.
  • Two vehicles parked on Bradwall St. in Luling were burglarized, with $5 and ammunition stolen on Jan. 11.
  • Two fraudulent checks were written utilizing a bank customer name and information at a credit union located on River Road in Hahnville on Jan. 11.
