The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in Destrehan today (Nov. 19).
Deputies were dispatched shortly after 8 a.m. to a shooting in the 200 block of Meadows Drive.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 25 year-old black male lying face down in a driveway. He had apparently been shot in the head and was pronounced dead.
The man has been identified as Anthony Tyler Fletcher of Metairie.
“While homicide is an infrequent crime in St. Charles Parish, it is frustrating that Meadows Drive has been the scene of a disproportionate number of them over many years,” according to Sheriff Greg Champagne.
Detectives are questioning a person of interest and looking for two others.
