The Lafon Performing Arts Center will host a free admission performance of The Sea Princess on Saturday showcasing the summer camp and workshop dancers of River Region Ballet.
The approximately one-hour show is set to begin at 11 a.m.
Described as “Swan Lake” meets “The Little Mermaid” by original ballet creator Kim Maselli, The Sea Princess follows the story of Odine, a princess who was transformed into a mermaid who came crashing down through the waves into a world of beauty, mystery, and danger. The ballet tells the story of whether she can break free with the help of an underwater army or be destined to live at the bottom of the sea for eternity.
