Manuel V. Dugas passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 95 years. He was born in DesAllemands, LA and was a resident of Luling, LA.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Parks Dugas; parents, Horace and Helen Dugas; son, Manuel V. Dugas Jr.; daughter, Deitra Lynn Dugas; brother, Wayne Dugas (the late Laura Turner Dugas) and sister, Margaret Hufford (the late Johnny Hufford).
Survivors include his wife, Linda Stewart Dugas; son, Dr. Robert Wayne Dugas (Jean); step-children, Melissa Sabathe (Rodney) and Gregory Cannon; grandchildren, Robert Dugas Jr., Kristie Millard (Michael), Richard Dugas, Katherine Dugas, Lissa Dugas, and Laura Golubev (Vladimir); step-grandchildren, Ronald Gilmore III, Taylor Dow, Zachary Sabathe, Tyler Sabathe, Eric Cannon (Megan) along with 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Manuel served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a licensed insurance agent for State Farm. He was a member of the DesAllemands First Assembly of God Church.
Visitation will be held at Life Fellowship Community Church, 2671 LA-306, Bayou Gauche, LA on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 9am to 11am. Services will follow. Interment St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, LA.
