Police still searching for alleged credit card thief

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying the woman above. The picture is from a security camera at Wal-Mart and shows the woman entering the store. Authorities believe she is using a duplicated credit card.

Authorities are still searching for a woman they believe used a duplicated credit card at two Wal-Marts to charge more than $1,000 of merchandise.

The owner of the card still has it, so it is unknown at this time how or when the card was duplicated, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The first time the suspect used the card was on Monday, March 14 at 10:30 p.m. at a Wal-Mart in Marrero where she charged $596. An hour later, the woman used the card at the Wal-Mart in Boutte and charged $542.

The Sheriff’s Office has released several photos of the suspect. Anyone having any information on the identity of the woman is asked to contact Det. Erik Brass at (985)783-1135 or (985)783-6807.
