William L. Scott of New Sarpy was arrested and charged Monday with attempted first-degree murder after attempting to run down two police officers and flee.

Scott, 37, of 313 Eighth St., was additionally charged with aggravated assault, resisting officer by force, resisting arrest by flight, possession of marijuana, suspended driver’s license and reckless operation of a vehicle.

The arrest resulted from an incident in which Scott was pulled over for suspicious activity.
