Kidnap suspect nabbed in Norco

A Killona man wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a Luling woman this month was caught in Norco by the St. Charles Parish sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Marshal’s service.

The fugitive, Dwan Storks, 26, of 206 Adams St., was found in a Norco residence after authorities received a tip from a citizen.

He is now being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on a $700,000 bond set by 29th Judicial District Judge Kirk Granier.

It was reported that Storks allegedly followed the Luling woman to her home from a Spur Station, where he then beat and assaulted her. He then kidnapped her and stole her laptop computer and some cash.

Storks was identified as a suspect based on a security camera photograph from the gas station.

In a separate issue, police are searching for man who robbed a 22-year-old woman in Norco on Nov. 26.
