Child Advocacy Services (CAS) welcomes Miranda Egle’ to the Luling Madere Center as the new CASA Advocate Supervisor. Miranda Egle’ is a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, with a strong understanding of the local culture and history. Having grown up on the Eastbank and currently residing on the Westbank, Miranda has a deep connection to the community and strives to do her part in giving back to the children and families.

With an educational background in recreational therapy and a concentrated area of study in substance abuse prevention and treatment, Miranda has applied her professional skills and knowledge to numerous volunteer opportunities in and around the community for the past four years. Having worked as a volunteer, she has first hand knowledge of the challenges and rewards that are faced when dedicated to a cause.

Miranda states, “The children, who we serve today, are tomorrow’s keys to the kingdom. If I just stop for 10 minutes out of my day, and truly listen to a child, I learn far more, than what I ever intended.”

CAS offers a variety of services to children, including Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA. The CASA program recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to speak up in court on behalf of children in need of care. To make a difference in a child’s life as a CASA volunteer, please contact Miranda Egle` at 985-785-5226 or visit the website at www.childadv.net. CASA is a United Way Agency.
