Mr. and Mrs. John Waters of Luling are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Ashley Waters, to Paul Glenn Oliver Jr., son of Mrs. Anna Oliver and the late Paul Glenn Oliver of Destrehan.
The wedding is to be held in June 2011.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Waters of Marion, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. James Tri of Baton Rouge. She is a 2007 graduate of Hahnville High School in Boutte and currently attends the University of New Orleans to study hotel, restaurant and tourism administration with a concentration in event management. She is employed at Curves International, Magnolia Plantation Special Events, and volunteers at Hahnville with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Oliver of Monticello, Miss. and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Miller of Panama City, Fla. He is a 2004 graduate of Destrehan High School in Destrehan. He is employed at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans as a Patient Transporter and at Victory Fellowship’s North Broad Street Church in New Orleans as a Sound Engineer. He also leads worship for the church’s prayer services on Wednesdays.
