Today’s Car Care customer appreciation event set for Oct. 13-14

Today’s Car Care will hold a community customer appreciation two-day event that will feature an Indy 500 car, free food and giveaways.“We’re about family and community and we know that helps us survive and we want them to know we appreciate all that,” said company CFO Bailie Bourg of Luling.

The public is invited Thursday (Oct. 13) and Friday (Oct. 14), both days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Today’s Car Care, 13260 Highway 90, Boutte.

Bridgestone-Firestone will feature an Indy car that visitors can take photographs with, as well as have fun using an Indy car simulator that Bourg described as resembling an arcade game.

There also will be a mini golf Putt-Putt course, as well as some giveaways.

Anyone who completes a survey is eligible to win a trip to the Indy 500 race next year, Bourg said. NAPA will cook jambalaya on Friday free to visitors.

“This is an event for people to check out Today’s Car Care and have some fun,” she said.

In addition to Bourg working there, her husband, Brody, is a mechanic there and her mother does some bookkeeping.

“It’s a big family thing,” she said. “We wanted to do something for other families, too.”

Owned by Galen Guidry since 2012, the business has eight employees. Services include alignments, computer diagnostics and equipment for factory-scheduled maintenance, Bourg said. Guidry and their technicians are certified to do the work.

Guidry’s has more than 38 years experience in vehicle maintenance. Guidry is passionate about what he does for a living. It’s not a job to him and he welcomes the opportunity to share what he knows to help others.

In conjunction with the celebration, Car Care also is holding a tire promotion Oct. 1 – 31. Anyone who buys four Bridgestone tires gets a $70 VISA prepaid card by mail. If the Bridgestone CSNA credit card is used to buy the tires, the buyer will receive a $140 prepaid VISA card by mail.
