One of only seven in Louisiana
Donna Post, St. Charles Parish Public Schools chief financial officer, has earned the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations certification, making her one of seven people in Louisiana to earn the distinction. The certification is for school business officials, establishing a nationally recognized standard of excellence in their field. It is offered through the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and sponsored by Horace Mann.
Earning the certification allows financial decision makers in school districts to continue their professional growth and earn a certificate distinguishing their effort and expertise as a school business official.
From sourcing school transportation to meeting lunch menu needs and requirements, from finding ways to get technology into the classroom to making sure school employees have quality health insurance, these school business officials wear a variety of hats, making sure every dollar spent goes toward resources that students, staff and teachers depend on.
