St. Charles Farm Bureau names new royalty

The new Miss St. Charles Farm Bureau is Brandie Clement.

She is the daughter of Lisa and Alan Clement and they reside in Norco.  Brandie, 17, is a senior at Destrehan High School with plans to attend Southeastern Louisiana University to major in Nursing.

She is member of the Beta Club, Student Council, Peer Support Leadership, S.A.D.D. Organization and a participant in Louisiana Girl’s State.

Brandie states that she looks forward to serving as the youthful voice of agriculture in St. Charles Parish and educate the public about Farm Bureau and the importance of agriculture in their lives.

The First Runner Up was Victoria Pellerin, daughter of Donna and Spellman Pellerin from Montz.

Second Runner Up was Cera Boatwright, daughter of Anastasia and Mark Boatwright from Des Allemands.

The new Teen Miss St. Charles Farm Bureau is Abbie Chiasson.  She is the daughter of Celeste and Chad Chiasson and they reside in Luling.

Abbie, 13, is an 8th grade student attending J. B. Martin Middle School.

She is a member of of the Symphonic Band, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Talented Drama, Cheerleader Squad and Beta President.

The First Runner Up to the Teen Queen was Kimberly Feagley, daughter of Diane and Chris Feagley from Destrehan. Kimberly was awarded Miss Congeniality.

Both Brandie and Abbie will attend various fairs, festivals and farming events throughout the state while promoting the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives.

During the talent portion of the evening, there were two participants.

First Place was awarded to a group of young ladies which go by the name of “Elite 4.”  Their names are Kayla Sosa, 13, Maddie Sellers, 11, Brittany Beba, 9 and Abby Bryan, 9. They performed a high energy tumbling routine.  Second Place was awarded to vocalist, Jayme White,13. Brandie will represent St. Charles Parish at this year’s Annual Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention at the end of June in New Orleans where she will compete for the title of Louisiana State Farm Bureau Queen.  “Elite 4” will represent St. Charles Parish at the annual convention as they compete on the State Level Talent Competition.
