Senior friends program holds meet and greet luncheon

The Senior Friends Members at River Parishes Hospital recently attended a Stars and Stripes Meet and Greet luncheon in the River Parishes Hospital Medical Pavilion.

Members were asked to wear a red, white or blue colored shirt and were able to bring a guest to learn about the benefits available to them by becoming a member of the Senior Friends Program.

Kim Bourgeois, of the Louisiana Federal Credit Unit, spoke to the group about the importance of organizing their financials. A brief question and answer period followed the presentation. Afterwards, several drawings were held for door prizes.

The River Parishes Hospital Senior Friends Program hosts bimonthly meet and greet luncheons for its members to get acquainted with each other, learn about new or updated program benefits as well as educate members on common health issues related to the senior population. River Parishes Hospital also offers a Fit At 50 Exercise Program, which is designed for individuals age 50 and older.
