New Life Community Church active in the community

Assembling 50 buckets with flood relief supplies for Southwest Louisiana, the New Life Community Church in Luling is constantly focused on community assistance.

Church projects also include providing Christmas and Easter gifts for children in Child Advocacy Services, food baskets at Thanksgiving for area families and individuals, and hosting vacation Bible school each year for nearly 200 children for summer with this year’s school scheduled 6 – 8:30 p.m. June 20 – 24.

“New Life is a welcoming, encouraging and loving community of faith and we invite all to join us on our faith journey, whether for worship on Sunday mornings or for any of our other ministry activities outside of church,” said Pastor Rob Weber. “Experiencing new life is so much more than just being a member of a church. It is about knowing and sharing Christ’s grace and love for all.”

The church, located at 134 Lakewood Drive in Luling, will offer two services on Easter Sunday at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The services will include worship through music and prayer, a special message for children and uplifting sermon of hope and new life.

New Life Community Church is the combined ministries of Luling United Methodist Church and First Union Presbyterian Church.

“We will challenge each other, our children and our community to live, to understand and to share God’s word,” Weber said.
