Judy Matherne, Reading Recovery/Literacy Teacher at Mimosa Park Elementary, was awarded $500.00 from River Parishes Education Initiatives for presenting a grant proposal supporting the connection of reading between school and home.
The grant provided funds to purchase copies of books that students can read with parents at home.
