The scales have stopped shaking. The pounds have been calculated. And Taz, a 26-pound feline from Luling, has been crowned as the Herald-Guide’s 2006 King Kong Kitty. Taz’s owners, Erith and Melissa Sanchez, say that this indoor cat loves to eat everything from his own cat food to whatever they are eating and their veterinarian has nothing bad to say about it.
“The vet we go to said that he is perfectly healthy and was just born to be a large cat,” says Erith.
And when this big guy isn’t munching on his favorite snacks, he is lounging in his favorite chair, near the family’s Christmas tree. Turn the page to see our contest’s runners-up.
