In the novel The Fault in Our Stars, John Green tells the story of two Indianapolis teenagers who fall in love at a Cancer Support Group.
Green creates a love story that could one day become real and has already been a dream of mankind—buying time from cancer and finding a cure.
In this fiction story of two teens finding love in a spontaneous way, Hazel and Augustus have a unique relationship. Because Hazel has a terminal illness, and has bought time only from a medical miracle, Augustus knows he does not have much time to portray his love. Hazel decides to take a chance and put an individual who she has just met at a Support Group (which her mother forces her to attend weekly) in front of her family. Dedicating time and effort to this person, she quickly feels the same way about him.
The Fault in Our Stars was anything but boring. The fact that the author used a fictitious idea of the cure to cancer made
me feel like a dream had come true. This is a mature novel worthy of endless recommendations.
