BATON ROUGE – The State of Louisiana wants to give you a nifty $4,000 for writing and photographing people and places. The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, has grants available to authors and photographers writing on or documenting Louisiana related themes.
Authors and photographers may be eligible to receive up to $4,000 in grants. Writers must be writing on Louisiana humanities nonfiction and can include topics such as literature, languages, history, music, folk life or cultural anthropology.
Photographers must be documenting Louisiana’s culture.
The deadline for publication and photo-documentary grants is Feb. 15.
