The Sharpe Family Singers, known for their viral social media presence and appearances on shows like “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent,” will perform at the Lafon Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 13. at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45.
About 45 to 50 middle school students from St. Charles Parish Public Schools will join the group for the grand finale of the show, where they will perform the song “One Day More” from the Broadway musical “Les Misérables.”
Ned Moore, director of the Lafon Arts Center, said the essential mission of the center is to provide students with opportunities to engage in the creation and appreciation of the arts with artists from around the corner to around the globe.
“By centering students in the finale of this performance, the Lafon Arts Center is fully living out its mission and vision to be a model for high quality arts education across the country,” Moore said.
He said St. Charles Parish Public Schools and the Lafon Arts Center are invested in building a future for artists and audiences everywhere.
“We want the world to know that,” he said. “Most importantly, we want our community to see that, and to provide our SCPPS students with an opportunity to perform with these exceptional professionals because, quite simply, they deserve it.”
As part of the Lafon Arts Center’s Artsperience Series, sixth grade students from parish public schools will attend a free performance and workshop by the Sharpe family on Friday, Sept. 12. All middle school students currently enrolled in choir, talented art or music can rehearse with the family and will have the opportunity to perform at the public show.
The Artsperience Series provides a free performance of almost every public show at the Lafon Center to students in parish public schools.
The Sharpe Family Singers consist of Broadway veterans Ron and Barbra Sharpe and their four children: Samantha, Logan, and twins Aidan and Connor. Rob and Barbra first met onstage in the original Broadway production of “Les Miserables,” where they played the romantic lead roles of Marius and Cosette.
The Sharpe family’s performance is family-friendly, with all ages welcome. Tickets for children ages 2 and younger are free. The show will feature a variety of musical genres, including Broadway favorites, Disney hits, film soundtracks and today’s greatest hits.

The show is a testament to both the power of family and the power of the performing arts, Moore said.
“I think the biggest takeaway will be that there really is nothing more beautiful than family and we’ll probably leave wishing our own families could be this freakishly talented,” he said.
Moore said the Sharpe Family Singers are an incredible example of a family that believes in the value of the performing arts to bring people together.
“They’re genius creators of wholesome viral content on social media — but they’re much more than that,” Moore said. “They’re a family first, and their shared passion for music and performance is positively contagious. It’s a great first concert for young and even very young audiences, and older generations will find it very accessible, too. I hear there may even be some flashy 1970s costumes involved.”
The Sharpes have amassed a significant online following, with over 12 million fans on social media and 75 million viewers watching their videos on YouTube and TikTok each month. They have over 6 billion views on TikTok. They have also been featured in national TV commercials for brands like JC Penney, Glad Bags, and Ricola.
The family’s repertoire includes songs from new hit Broadway shows like “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen,” movies like “The Greatest Showman,” hits from Disney On Broadway and Broadway’s Rock & Roll musicals as well as classic show tunes from “Phantom,” “Cats,” “Evita,” “Guys and Dolls,” “West Side Story,” “Carousel,” “Fiddler,” “Les Miserables” and more.
