Two men found dead in Luling home following domestic argument

UPDATE – The 74-year-old male has been identified as Glen Paul Bourgeois from Luling and the 35-year-old male has been identified as Ryan Paul Bourgeois from Luling.

Deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of 4th Street in Luling just after midnight on Jan. 9 after receiving a call from a female requesting medical aid for a male.

According to the sheriff’s office, when deputies arrived on the scene they saw the female standing in the entryway of the home requesting an ambulance.

“A thirty-five-year-old male was found deceased in the bedroom hallway with a single gunshot wound to the upper chest,” the release stated. “A seventy-four-year-old male was also found deceased on the bed in the adjacent bedroom with two gunshot wounds to the lower stomach, one gunshot wound to the upper chest, and one gunshot wound to his right arm.”

Through investigation, the sheriff’s office said detectives learned that the deceased men are father and son.

“The female, later identified as the wife of the seventy-four-year-old male, reported the males were arguing in a bedroom and she went to check on them,” the release states. “When she entered the bedroom, she observed the father sitting up on the bed and the son standing over him. She heard three ‘booms’ and attempted to administer first aid when she heard another gunshot and found the son laying on the floor in the hallway.”

Detectives located a handgun on the bed next to the father, and multiple casings on the floor throughout the bedroom and hallway. A semi-automatic handgun was located at the feet of the son in the hallway.

An autopsy has been scheduled for both males.
