
Javon D. Wells has been been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in Wednesday’s shooting death of a Destrehan High School student.
The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at about 8:30 p.m.and found the body of Kendall Williams Jr., a Destrehan High School student at East Harding and Eighth streets.
Kendall was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.Wells of 740 East Hoover St., New Sarpy, was arrested last night shortly after the shooting and charged with second-degree murder. He is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center.
