VACHERIE – St. Joseph Plantation is holding a “Creole Mourning Tour” of the house now through Nov. 3.
The plantation will be dressed in a full “deep mourning” to honor the important customs and traditions of ancient Catholics and river parish descendants.
The manor is open for tours Mondays through Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
