NORCO – The St. Charles Parish Farm Bureau Teen Queens contest and Queens contest will be held on Sunday, March 16.
Miss Queen’s contestants must be a resident of St. Charles Parish, single, and never had a child between the ages of 16 and 19 and should not hold any other local, festival or state title – this is a binding title. Prizes awarded will be a cash scholarship, crown and banner, a special award will also be given to queen and runner-ups.
Miss St. Charles Farm Bureau will also receive an expense-paid trip to the state convention at the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans to compete for the state title in June 2014.
Teen Queen’s contestants should be a resident of St. Charles Parish, single, and never had a child between the ages of 13 and 15 and should not hold any other local, festival or state title – this is a binding title. The prizes will be a cash scholarship, crown and banner, a special award for Teen Queen and runner-ups. Teen St. Charles Farm Bureau will also receive an expense-paid trip to the state convention at the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans in June 2014.
The amateur talent contestant can be any single person through age 19 by June 25 a resident of St. Charles Parish, with a maximum of four persons permitted in one act. No act may run over four minutes. Any entertainment is suitable. This includes vocal, instrumental, folk dances, dancing, novelties, impersonation, etc. Modest dress in costume is required. No large props will be allowed. Prizes will be a cash award, a special award for the winning act and runner-ups. The winner of the talent contest will also win an expense paid trip to the state convention at the Marriott Hotel in New Orleans to compete in the State Talent Competition in June 2014.
