The St. Charles Parish Assessor’s office will hold a public hearing on July 30 at 2 p.m. at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse in Hahnville to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval.
Another plan calls for the adopting of the adjusted millage rate and rolling forward to a millage that would not exceed the prior year’s maximum. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which impacts the amount of property taxes residents are charged annually.
