LULING – The St. Charles Parish Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will host a Hurricane Conference for senior citizens at 10 a.m. May 1 at the VFW Hall, 140 Angus Drive in Luling.
The conference will focus on what seniors need to know to prepare for the upcoming hurricane season, RSVP Director Fay Caire said.
Presenters will include the St. Charles Parish Emergency Operations Center, the St. Charles Sheriff’s Department, local fire departments and the Department of Animal Control. A light lunch will be provided.
The Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1. For more information, call Caire at 785-1037.
