RESERVE – The River Region Ballet’s spring performance of “Peter and the Wolf” will begin its run on Saturday, March 22 with a special children’s matinee at 3 p.m. and a regular production at 7:30 p.m.
A repeat performance will be held on March 23 at 2 p.m. “Peter and the Wolf” is based on an old Russian children’s tale with music by Prokofiev. The tale is narrated and it uniquely assigns a specific musical instrument to designate each character in the story.
The ballet will feature dancers from around the world including Micaela y Fiesta and McTaggart Irish Dancers. Tickets in advance are $10 and can be purchased at riverregion.brownpapertickets.com or $15 at the door.
All performances will be held at the St. John Theatre located at 115 W. Fourth St. in Reserve.
