Plan future at public meetings

ST. CHARLES PARISH – St. Charles Parish is seeking citizen input on the draft of 2030 Future Land Use Map and the draft policy framework for the “Bridge to the Future” comprehensive plan. Open Houses will be held at the following locations:

•Nov. 8, 12:30-5:30 p.m., Courthouse, 15045 River Road in Hahnville .

•Nov. 9, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., East Regional Library, 160 West Campus Drive in Destrehan

•Nov. 9, 5-8 p.m., Hahnville High School, 200 Tiger Drive in Boutte .Nov. 10, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., West Regional Library, 105 Lakewood Drive in Luling

•Nov. 10, 5-8 p.m., Harry Hurst Middle School, 170 Road Runner Lane in Destrehan

Each event will offer an opportunity to review the proposed land use map, transportation network map, community character and other concepts for the future of the parish, to ask questions, and to have discussions with the consultant team, steering committee and parish staff. All Open House materials will also be available online at www.stcharlesgov.net and stcharles2030.blogspot.com for those who cannot attend.
