March 16 – St. Charles Parish Public Schools Showcase of the Arts

St. Charles Parish Public Schools will celebrate the performing and creative arts at its 11th annual Arts Fest on Saturday, March 16. The festival is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the new Dr. Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center, 275 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.

Throughout the day on multiple stages, students from all schools will perform theatrical, dance, and musical selections. Paintings and other visual art will be on display and for sale. Theatrical presentations will entertain the crowd with scenes from school plays. Musical selections will be performed by choirs, soloists, bands, with special presentations by wind, percussion and brass ensembles featuring students from kindergarten through high school.

The public is invited to join in the fun at the visual arts hands-on studio and as a performer in one of the several percussion ensembles. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks.
