Garden Ramble a good opportunity for nature lovers

AMA/WAGGAMAN – Take a walk on the wild side with award-winning master gardeners during the River Road Garden Ramble tour on March 25 from noon-4 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the St. Mark chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

A variety of garden styles will include: an award-winning Master Gardener’s retreat with a large pond for wildlife, a walk on the wild side garden including woods and pasture with wildflowers and a display of antique games, a garden filled with vegetable beds, with a free potted plant giveaway while supplies last, and a garden with a variety of plants and a potting shed.

The tour can be started at either 10391 River Road in Ama or 9555 River Road in Waggaman. Pass along plants and cuttings will be sold. Admission is $10 per person, with kids 15 and younger for free. April 1 is the rain date. For more information, contact Jara D. Roux at (504)431-0399.
