New Sarpy – The St. Charles Parish Department of Community Services is collecting donations at its New Sarpy Office for the annual Thanksgiving Basket Program until Nov. 21. The department provides baskets of goods to residents in need for the holidays each November. Each basket contains a turkey and other dishes that one would find at a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Residents are asked to drop off either monetary donations or a frozen turkey at the Community Services’ Office at 14564 River Road in New Sarpy or by calling (985) 764-7944 to arrange a pickup. All clients are screened by the department staff. For more information, call (985) 764-7944.
